The meeting began with the introduction of Jason Gamble and Aaron Barge who are co-organizers of the Siouxland Freedom Park Golf Outing. The event is scheduled to take place on Monday May 11th at the Green Valley Golf Course in Sioux City. Jason and Aaron encouraged committee members to attend on that day so as the promote Siouxland Freedom Park and answer any questions from participants.

The 2015 POW/MIA Remembrance Run will take place on Friday May 22 in South Sioux City. The members of the SFP committee would like to have an event or appropriate ceremony to go along with all of the other activities of that day. Any ideas?

Jeff Finken with the help of Humanear, redesigned and presented a new website which became available to the public yesterday March 25th. The new website is much easier to navigate and will be easier to update.

Mike Newhouse met last week with Lance Morgan of Ho-Chunk, Inc., to discuss the proposed development of  land down by the Siouxland Freedom Park area.

The nice weather will eventually by on its way here, so activities will start moving down at the park again. Members will Continue to look for fundraising opportunities to further the progress in breaking ground for the SFP Interpretive Center. The SFP has two families who have purchased memorial benches and those benches will be placed this spring/summer at the park two other families have inquired about the benches.

The next SFP Committee will next meet on Thursday April 23, 5:30, at the American Legion, 109 E 19th, South Sioux City, Ne.
